My First Read-A-Long

Wallace at Unputdownables is starting a read-a-long of David McCullough’s phenomenal book, John Adams. I am a huge fan of American history, having grown up right in the thick of things in the Washington, D.C. area. I read the book about two years ago and  loved it, so of course I had to jump on board for a re-read, and to see what read-a-longs are all about. I’ll be posting every Friday on the section we read to keep you updated, just in case you haven’t read it and are on the fence about it. David McCullough is an outstanding writer. I’ve reviewed another of his amazing books, The Great Bridge, right here on this site.

If you want to join yourself, click the pic of the book on the right sidebar and that will take you right to her site and the information about the read-a-long.

  1. I’m so glad that you’re joining us. Love that you have already read it — it means that it’s good enough to read again! Also, I’m loving that you’re in D.C. Maybe you’ll be able to give us some good insights along the way. 🙂

  2. I joined the read-along hoping I’d finally stop balking at the size of the book and just read it. 🙂 Glad to hear it’s good enough to read again!

  3. Thanks to all of you guys for stopping by. I am looking forward to seeing how everyone liked Chapter One on Friday and will be sure to stop by all of your sites. 🙂
